RUMOR HAS IT... Historical Records Update

Recently, someone sent me a Facebook post by one of my opponents. It shows high, leaning, messy stacks of what appear to be old records, implying that I neglect our historical court records. This could not be farther from the truth! Work began on the neglected historical records as soon as I took office in 2011.
Currently, I am working on another project with my vendor, which consists of restoring and indexing the historical records and making sure that future records are preserved for our community. Preserving our historical records through restoration and digitization requires careful attention and patience, as it's a demanding process that calls for accuracy so that they are preserved for future generations. Additionally, the preservation of historical records is a costly venture, and the current budget limits how many records can be restored at one time.
Bastrop County has a rich history with a deep, significant, and heavily documented past. I vow to do my part to preserve it.
